The United States was Founded on the premise that the King or no one single power could indict, try & convict an individual. There MUST be more than one branch of government involved In order ensure due process and see that no ONE branch of government could become ALL powerful. The judicial branch is a CHECK on the power of the executive branch in order to maintain a BALANCE of power.
Police, FBI and all Law Enforcement are Executive Branch. They can not accuse, indict and convict all on their own. The courts, the Judicial Branch must be involved. Without this Judicial Branch check on their power any cop or agent would have absolute power over anyone with no method to measure guilt or the agents adherence to rules.
Now does the Judicial Branch get a say in whose name is put on the “Do Not Fly List”? Who puts names on the do not fly list?? No one knows specifically because those who put the names on are NOT answerable to anyone. Mistakes are made regularly as congressmen and Senators are often mistakenly put on the do not fly list.
Even US Senators and congressmen have difficulty getting themselves removed from the list. Imagine YOUR chances of getting yourself removed from the list, you the average citizen if our lawmakers can barely get off the list. Good luck.
And now the Great Deceiver Obama wants to include folks on the do not fly list to the can not buy list. American citizens who have not been convicted of anything in a court of law, yet the Obama regime wants to restrict their rights simply bc someone in the great big government put their name on the list.
Not only is this a violation of the “Innocent until Prove Guilty” premise, but this idea also diminishes the power of the court and foundation of checks and balances.
Remember, Germany had checks and balances in their system until bit by bit, little laws and procedures chipped away at them until the executive branch,”Hitler” had all the power. Germany took their citizens guns away also.
